A free email address without a phone number
Most free email providers now ask for a mobile number before they let you in. Sometimes it is to "verify you are human", sometimes to "keep your account secure", and sometimes there is no reason given at all. If you just need an inbox for a sign-up, a newsletter, a free trial or a one-off purchase, handing over your phone number feels like far too much.
temp-mail.zone gives you a free email address with no phone number, no signup form and no password. You press one button and get a real-looking address such as daniel.hayes@northmail.co. Mail sent to it shows up on this page within seconds. There is nothing to install and nothing to confirm.
The address is yours to keep. It does not run out after ten minutes, and your messages are not wiped overnight. Close the tab, come back in a month, paste the address into Open my inbox, and everything is still there, including anything that arrived while you were away.
Why email providers ask for your phone number
Phone verification exists mostly to slow down people who create accounts in bulk. A phone number is harder to come by than an email address, so asking for one raises the cost of abuse. For the provider that is sensible. For you it means your number ends up tied to yet another account, where it can be used for marketing, matched against other data, or exposed if that company is ever breached.
It also shuts people out. Not everyone has a mobile number they are happy to share. Some people share a phone with family, some travel and swap SIM cards, and some simply do not want a new account knowing how to reach them. An email address should not need any of that.
temp-mail.zone takes a different approach. We never ask for a number because we never need one: the service only receives mail, so there is no sending to abuse.
How to create an email without a phone number
- Press "Create my email." We pick a name-style address on one of our mail domains and show it in the box above.
- Copy it and use it. Paste it into the sign-up form, checkout or newsletter box you are filling in.
- Watch the inbox. New mail appears on the page by itself, usually within a few seconds. If a message contains a verification code, we show the code in a highlighted panel with a Copy button, so you do not have to hunt for it.
- Save the address. Write it down, keep it in your password manager, or bookmark this page. That address is how you get back into the inbox later.
That is the whole process. There is no account to create, so there is nothing to log in to, no password to forget and no phone to confirm.
Open your inbox any time
Coming back is just as simple. Paste the full address into Open my inbox and press the button. You will see every message the address has received, newest first, with older messages a click away. The page keeps listening, so a new message appears while you are looking at it.
This is the main difference from throwaway inbox sites. Those are fine for a code you need right now. But the moment a service sends a password-reset link, a receipt, a shipping update or a "confirm it's you" email a few weeks later, a vanished inbox leaves you locked out. With temp-mail.zone the inbox is still there when that email arrives.
Email without phone verification: what you can use it for
People use a no-phone address for all kinds of everyday things:
- Free trials and downloads that want an email before they let you in.
- Newsletters and deal alerts you would rather keep out of your main inbox.
- Online shopping at stores you are trying for the first time, including the order confirmation and tracking emails that follow.
- Forums, communities and comment sections that ask for an address but do not need your real one.
- Testing your own sign-up flows if you build websites or apps and need a fresh address that receives real mail.
- Keeping things separate. One address for hobbies, another for online orders, another for a side project, all without a single phone number on file.
Because the address looks like a normal person's email, it fits in wherever an email address is expected.
What makes temp-mail.zone different
It is free and needs no account. There is no premium plan hiding the useful features and no sign-up wall. The two buttons at the top of this page are the whole product.
The address looks like a real name. Addresses follow a first-name and last-name pattern on mail domains that read like ordinary mail providers. They do not contain words like "fake" or long strings of random characters.
Your inbox does not expire. Addresses are created once and kept. Messages are stored, not deleted on a timer. You decide when you are finished with an address. Just stop using it.
Codes are easy to find. When a message contains a one-time code or verification number, we pull it out and show it at the top of the inbox with the sender and the time it arrived.
Mail is shown safely. Every message is cleaned before it reaches your screen. Scripts are removed, tracking images are blocked unless you choose to load them, and links open with a warning page first.
Good to know before you start
We would rather you know the trade-offs up front:
- The address is the key. There is no password, which is what makes the service so quick to use. It also means anyone who knows your exact address can open the inbox. Treat the address like a password and share it only where you intend to receive mail.
- Use it for everyday sign-ups, not for anything sensitive. Do not use it for online banking, government services, medical portals, your work account or anything you would hate to lose control of. For those, use a personal email account protected by a password and two-factor authentication.
- It receives mail; it does not send it. You can read everything that arrives, but you cannot send, reply or forward from the address.
- Some websites refuse certain email domains. Most sites accept our addresses, but no email service is accepted everywhere. If a site turns the address down, create a new one (it may land on a different domain) or use another address for that site.
Free email with no signup, explained
"No signup" means there is no form to fill in on our side at all: no name, no date of birth, no recovery email and no phone number. You are never asked to prove who you are, because we never need to know. The only thing that connects you to your inbox is the address itself.
That makes temp-mail.zone a good fit when you want an email address quickly and without handing over personal details. It is not a replacement for your main email account, and it is not trying to be one. Think of it as a spare inbox that stays put: always there when you need it, and never asking for your phone number.
